About Break Free Candy!
Break Free Candy is more than just a candy company — they're a movement. Born out of a desire to create delicious, nostalgic treats that are kinder to animals, people, and the planet, Break Free is proudly queer-owned, women-owned, and founded by a justice-impacted entrepreneur. Their mission is to save animals and create meaningful jobs for marginalized communities, especially formerly incarcerated individuals and members of the LGBTQ+ community. They started selling candy bars out of the back of a car during the pandemic and have grown into a nationally distributed brand with products in over 25 locations and counting. Break Free Candy is the candy you miss, but better.
Break Free Candy makes plant-based, allergen-conscious versions of childhood classic candy bars — all handmade with love. Each bar is free from dairy, eggs, and animal products, and many are gluten-free. Their current lineup includes 10 vegan candy bars with flavors like:
